    When Elle finds two friends in Congressman Marks and Congresswoman Hauser, who warm up to her and start supporting her Bruiser Bill. Elle also finds out that Rudd is working against her for personal profit.

    Later Rudd is blackmailed into supporting Elle’s bill, with a recorded conversation in which she admits to her wrongdoings, by Chief of Staff Grace. Grace sympathizes with Elle which is why she helped Elle out.

    With the help of her friends, Elle manages to get her bill approved and is able to reunite Bruiser with his mother. The movie ends with Elle getting married to Emmett in D.C.
