In the movie, we follow Count Dracula or Drac, an overprotective father who would go to any lengths to show that humans are evil.     When an angry Human Mob kills his wife, Count Dracula commissions a Monsters-only hotel to raise his daughter Mavis, where many famous monsters like Frankenstein reside.

    When Mavis asks to venture into the human world, Count sets up an elaborate plan to make the human look terrible. Due to the plan, a human, Jhonny, is dragged into the hotel, so the Count dresses him as a monster to hide his identity.

    Johnny and Mavis fall for each other at first sight. Scared that his secret will be found out, Drac orders Jhonny to leave, but Mavis brings him back. After Jhonny shows Mavis a sunrise, Mavis decides to give humans another chance.

    When the chef discovers that Jhonny is a human, he kidnaps Jhonny and tries to cook him. Drac freezes the chef and shows Jhonny a photo of his wife, showing him why he built the hotel. Drac tells Jhonny to stay so as not to ruin Mavis’s birthday.

Bela calls for backup, but Drac and his family defeat them all. With Dennis embracing his Vampire abilities, Mavis decides to raise him in Transylvania.
